How to spend my L.B.Show coin money

BearBear Posts: 18,953 ✭✭✭
Should I just take my 11 dollars and spend it all at one dealer, or should I just spread it

around the floor. Of course, I will be looking for MS 67 Liberty Seated Coins as well as PR 68DC Barber

halves. I hope the money will be enough to get every thing on my list, including lunch.

$11 will buy you parking and admission (as long as you bring the postcard with the $1.00 discount).

I think they only charge $3 if you are a member of a coin organization. They never look at the membership cards so you can use any card you want. A library card, school ID, video rental card, pretty much anything can work if you tell them you are a "member" and flash the card quickly.

TBT- Rumor has it you're going to start charging (well deserved) admission to look at your cases!

  • Bear, if you play your cards right, $11 can buy you over a thousand Lincolns. But they're all going to be un-slabbed moderns. image

  • You can buy a jar of good Honey. Then you'll have the energy to do a dancing bear routine and probably make enough scratch to get one of those coins.image

I dont know where TBT finds his amazing coins, they just make one gasp with shock.

I will have some coins I purchased from Brian for show and tell with Forum Members.

I really think Brian gets emotionally involved with his spectacular toned coins, and it is

difficult for him to say bye bye to each and every one of them. I suspect if he was a multi millionaire,

he wouldnt sell a single one of his monster coins.image

    Bear,

The only coins I actually collect and keep would be franklins…..toned of course. The rest of our coins would just be considered business inventory. The part I enjoy is the social interaction of buying and selling the coins plus the photography involved to get the correct color representation without software enhancements. I am starting to really appreciate colorful proof IHC's and have about 10 to share at Long Beach. image

    Stman,

I would have to disagree with you but feel your comment was in jestimage. It takes relationships for the coin business to work. While both parties may not agree all the time there is always a middle ground.

TBT- You're joining everyone for lunch, right?

Great lunch. Great company. All talking coins with a "show n tell" from your "A" box.

    Yes! Life is good.

I have no idea what this has to do with what I wrote. You might be talking about something personal between you and I?

Boy, and I thought us bears get sensetive and touchy.I might have to eat some more jelly donuts

just to settle my nerves down a bit.Of course what really excites me(aside from Mrs Bear), is

anticipating the next wonderful coin I hope to buy. It never ends, there is always that next coin

to dream about.Who needs to pay the mortgage and the light bill ,when you can buy another coin.

Of course, when I get the coin, I will have to look at it from a doorway off the street, next to my

    shopping cart mobile wagon.image
