Toned Jefferson Nickels

In looking at your comment that 20-40% of all coins have been inhanced somehow, I have a question. As I sift through flatpack proof sets, I pull the blue/gold/violet Jefferson Nickels. Just the really colored ones. Well at the advice of another board member I sent them in for slabbing. When PCGS get toned proof Jefferson's do they get slabbed or BBed. (Don't worry I didn't cook them in the potatos). I just submitted 10 today, and with all the hupla about toned coins, I would hate to get 10 Body baggies back. What is your opinion on toned proofs.

Thanks
Marty
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

There's a guy in Chicago that does toned nickels. He is really good at it. It is really hard to tell his work from originally toned coins. We study the nickels very carefully when the toning looks original. We see if the toning is covering up anything...rub on MS coins, hairlines on proofs. If the toning covers a sin, we down grade appropriately.

The problem is that sometimes innocent by-standers get shot.
