Worst 10 I have ever seen!!

HSC 10

Seller even says in description that it may be PSA 6 or 7. How about 5mc at best!!!

Even Pro would only grade this an 8 at most.

    HSC ???
Home shopping channel ??, maybe... Heres some crap ??, perhaps .. How stupid canonebe ??, or really via the super secure screw-down holder and obvious gross mis-grade....Hope someone's convinced.
This aint no party,... this aint no disco,.. this aint no fooling around.
  • " Hacked Short Card" Co. is my guess! This card is trimmed on the bottom and why the blur there as well? I do know anything about HSC either but I do know a clipped border when I see one!imageimageimage

    I dunno...

Looks like a real high class outfit to me! They spared no expense with the screw down lucite and those fancy-dan labels!

Hey! Wait a minute!!!! Maybe this is another one of those deals where the 10 was replaced by a card of a lower grade!!! But then again... how would you get one of these high security holders open???image

  • My guess - Horribly Slabbed Card Grading.

At least the seller admits the lack of grading standards in his description.

The one thing that bothers me most about this auction (and a lot of others you see) is when the seller states in the item description "this card would be an excellent addition to any collection". Well, not my collection!!! image

I learned long ago (probably first in an undergraduate technical writing course) not to include opinions or subjective comments when composing descriptions such as this. It only offends a potential buyer.

HSC is probably one the most respected grading companies around. You PSA guys kill me with your blind devotion to just one grading company.

I think its a 10 on the SGC scale, not PSA's. SGC doesn't take off for centering.
Either that or its missing the decimal point, and should be a 1.0

Vargha....Speaking of 'blind' devotion, I think the job application for HSC graders is written in braille.image

  • I think I'll start my own grading company this weekend to unload some of my inventory. I've already printed out the GEM-MT 10 lablels - they look pretty nice. Good luck to all of you bidders out there and thanks in advance for all of your bids. image

  • If you do it like CSA does, you don't even need to individualize the labels to the cards...
Why do I get the feeling, that some cards are worth money, while others are not?
  • WOW
that is all I can say!

    WOW!

  • I agree with Vargha, you guys will be wishing you climbed on board the HSC train. I'll have my snipeware locked and loaded...boo-yah baby!
  • Are we sure that the scale from 1 to 10 isn't 10 being the WORST and 1 for being the best? Cause I know it looks closer to VG than it does to MINT. LOL

These card "graders" and people trying to unload crap. Some guy bought all my junk boxes at the end of the show when I set up at the Cleveland National and I sold them to him for about 5% of book (newer crap). After talking to him, he told me he was the president of PGS grading. I helped him carry the boxes back to his table where there was monster box after monster box of other dealers junk. That's when I realized what a scam that was. I wonder how many of my cards wound up becoming PGS 10's? lol.
