Actually, I have been intrigued by the AH Kennedy since joining this club and reading Russ' posts. I do have a basic understanding, as much as you can get from the photos. But I plan on looking for one at the Northwest Coin Show later in March. Comparing an AH Kennedy to a non-AH Kennedy up close and person, (in your own hand) is the way to really understanding I believe.
Some of us kinda' nailed it down on the forum prior to the entry of our illustrious "Kennedy-ite," but he has no doubt attracted and educated far more since. There was a time when SUPErcoin was our resident "Modern Specialist," particularly when it came to imaging the varieties.
I have been taught what to look for regarding the 1964 Accent Hair Kennedy Half. One of our client's is writing a book and is considered an expert on the coin. He is the person who convince PCGS to attribute the Accent Hair.
But Russ is an expert as well and his work on this coin shows it.
Thanks to Russ' fine postings I can tell those things without a lens from 4 feet away. Since there are things to look for both front and back (the back isn't a 100% guarentee but a pretty good sign), I feel very confident when looking for and picking them out of a lineup.
In the interest of full disclosure I should tell you guys that I was talking with Rick Tomaska a couple days ago (very nice guy, BTW), and he says that the Accented Hair is a waste of money and nobody should be buying them.
Speaking of which. That auction I linked shows a W coin. I thought NGC was dropping the W and using just *'s, but that seems to be in a new holder. Am I mistaken?

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

2 different things.W means White where the * means SERIOUS EYE CANDY
