Software update

I figured I would start a new topic for this since the other one was mostly about other stuff.

I've hit a little snafu... the guy who was helping me (er, doing 95% of it) with the software decided he didn't want to do it any more. Does anyone here have extensive Visual Basic knowledge? Maybe even VC++? Would you like to help me build this new inventory software? Add the things you've always wanted in an inventory program but never got....?

Anyone else have ideas for features they would like to see?

    I know VB and C++.
    There are many inventory packages avail.
    Why a new one?

    Loves me some shiny!
  • It seems to me that all of the other inventory packages were made just to make a buck. I've only seen 2 that use a database -- Beckett and Card Collector -- and both are no longer in development. Other than those two, the rest seem cheaply made without the collector in mind. image

  • I know both and can help depending on how much work is involved and most importantly if the idea is interesting to me. Email me at danstudebaker@hotmail.com. (I won't have access to this email for Friday-Monday as I am going skiing so if you want a reply sooner shoot me an email today (Thursday).)

    PS. The final 5% of a program is infinitely tougher than the initial 5%
