Excellent! I would only add that Memorial Lincolns may be had in MS68 for about half of the price quoted in the article and the Premium Set should feature a Clad Kennedy in MS68 (may also be purchased for under $400.00) instead of the same coin in the budget set, an MS67 (a $50.00 coin).

    Excellent article!

Pat: And, don't forget a clad dime can also be obtained for around $25 in PCGS-MS68. Wondercoin

  • Greg,
Nice article and certainly of interest to the folks who can't seem to decide. Did you include it in your clubs paper?
For those who do not know, the Anchorage coin club - sorry don't know the right name - has had an ANA award winning paper a number of years.

Good catchimage. Yes, the 21 Peace Dollar should have been labeled MS65 in the Benchmark Column.

    Dick:

Yes, we did put an earlier version in the Anchorage Coin Club publication. And thank you for the complement about the club's newsletter. While I am not the editor, I will pass along the complement to the editors.

    Greg,

Great job! I think it is wonderful how you divide the collectors. I would put myself in between the budget and benchmark sets. Again great job and a super set that you're assembling image

Enjoyed that! Really well written & thought out, an article new collectors should be linked to. Kind of makes me want to start a 20th Century type set myself.

    a superb article!

Great article! And also very timely as I was thinking of where to go next in my collecting journey. While I may or may not go this route, it has made me think and more importantly, provides me with the information concerning the cost and relative grade values from someone who is plugged into the market. It is just a guide and the comments from the board members are well taken,

Links to this type of article is one of the major benefits to this forum.
