    Boiler, that is awesome.

Those are some gorgeous coins that Boiler78 put up. If you would like to see more and join, even, look at Pattern site, http://www.uspatterns.com/. I am sure that you will like it. Patterns are great and my personal favorite area of numismatics.
PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

Julian- I am glad you like my morgan patterns. I know that you have handled nearly every pattern design ever minted and your compilment is greatly appreciated.image I would also recommend the uspatterns site as a great reference and image source. Here is my most recent pattern purchase from the FUN show.

Beautiful coins Mark. Here's another one Boiler used to own:

USPatterns.com is a great browse for anyone with even a small interest in these. This past weekend I posted the 1858 12-piece cent pattern set on my site, all of which were either on display at FUN or brought there by collectors (link).

Man, sometimes I wonder if we could go back and use patterns such as those for new coin issues today! Save the mint some money in design and get good stuff in return.

Boiler, I'm impressed by that row of morgans! I knew of the half dollar pattern, but never saw the quarter and dime.

RYK- I meet RKKay (Rick) at the FUN show. He is a straight shooter and good guy. I am looking forward to viewing his coins at Long Beach and hopefully conducting a little business.image

Just posted a pattern in another thread thanking RKKay for his assistance in buying the coin. Check it out.

Boiler has some awesome patterns and has always been more than generous in providing me with various items I've requested. Also, thank you to everyone who posted such kind words about me. Too kind. I love patterns and love to talk, a dangerous combination. I hope everyone will drop by Table 651 at Long Beach to see my patterns and also to see Wondercoin's spectacular display of moderns, to which I understand Braddick will be adding some great coins of his own.

Here's one of my favorites. It was missing from Snows original book. I found it at the Portland ANA in 1998, still in it's Cincinatti 6/77 paper envelope. It was unique at the time. In Snow's revised attribution guide, it's stated there are now 3 known. The key is the broad bust obverse and high leaf reverse. This coin is a NGC P65 speciman.

I think that photo by Shylock is one of the most spectacular I have ever seen. The reeded edge just jumps out at you. If it was dated 1858, I would have wanted it!!image
