Somewhat OT: Antique Coin Banks

I bought a collection some time ago, and part of it included this old childs coin bank which was jam packed with V NIckels, Buffalos, Merc, SLQs and IHCs.

This appears to be in pretty great shape and interesting as heck.

Anyone have any idea if their is a collectors market for these, as I have no interest in keeping it.

any input is appreciated.

  • Yes, there is a market for this. However, this is a very common bank, worth about $10. If you have the orig key it is worth a little more, maybe $15.

Seems like a reasonable price for a cool old bank. You could chuck it up on ebay with an appropriate small reserve, and see what the market will bear - looks to be in very nice shape.

the thing about it is, for $10 or $15, it's not worth the ebay hassle. Particularly the shipping part. I hate shipping!

I'll try the BST forum here and across the street. If a forum member wants it for $10 and will pay for shipping of a few bucks, I'll be happy to sell it. If not, I have some extra shelf space in my office.
