    Is it a 14/13 or a 4/3? I've heard it both ways.

  • Nice camera work. I'm sure it's just me but when i look at that picture it looks like the design is going into the coin not poping out like i know it is, does anyone else see that or is it just me?
  • That's actually why i posted it - looks like the coin is in reverse relief. I actually scanned it upside down.

    I seen lots of coins in reverse relief.....especially the 3 cent nickels. Nice Buff!

    The design does not appear to be in reverse relief. Look for instance at the top of the number four; the shadow extends outward onto other elements of the coin, indicating that the digit is raised. Had it been incuse the shadow would have been cast into the digit rather than outward from it.
