Just had exactly the same thing happen with a '62 Frankie. Out of the celo, in to a mylar flip and submitted. Got it back, there's no visible "damage" anywhere on the coin.

Russ-I saw you grab the lot of the nine '64 proof sets (the ones with the quarters cut out). I wanted that one bad, but ended up staying late at work and didn't get home in time to set my snipe. Damn!

Yeah, that was a pretty good score. It actually has 11 proof Kennedys, and I got if for the value of the halves alone. All the rest of the coins are freebies.

It's a little hard to tell from the scan but those aren't scratches. The toning is absent where I believe the paper on the end roll rubbed.
