Card from my own submission won't go into my set?

Hey this is a card from my very first and very own submission for the 1980 Topps PSA baseball set. Card # 561 Eddie Whitson Pitcher for the San Fran Giants CERT # 30298702 from submission order 8026311.

When I try to add this cert# to my set I get a message that says:


Cert number 30298702 is not a card in this set. No Record was found.


But...

According to the PSA Certification Database, certification number 30298702 is defined as the following:

CARD INFORMATION
Year: TOPP
Brand: TOPPS
Player: EDDIE WHITSON
Variety: N/A
Grade: 9


I sent an email to PSA like the message asks but out of 49 successful entries I wonder why 1 of 50 wouldn't take?

If thats the info from from the cert # then look at the year, "topp" is supposed to be 1980. Looks just like a data entry error, I have had that happen too before.

Looks like someone on their end messed up entering the card into the database, putting TOPP instead of 1980 for the year.

Jeff,counting the problem card I'm down to 69 cards which brings the set to over 90.22%.Your contribution will bring things a few steps closer.

I just discovered when scanning the card for Gayle that the PSA label says Topp instead of 1980.

Guess I am screwed.

Not screwed - a "mechanical problem" bro. PSA fixes those problems for nothing (well you still have to pay for shipping and insurance). Call the PSA customer service folks, explain the problem, fill out the invoice, and send that bad boy back in. They will return it within 14 days and you are rolling agin.

90%+ That is great!! I can't imagine paying the shipping and insurance for thatset.

Just hung up with Gayle and there is no charge other than shipping to them.That is just fine with me.

Jeff,If I sold the set as one big lot I'd try to deliver it myself depending on where it was going.Keeping it togethor probably won't be the fate of it.I don't want to think about things like this now because when the set is complete it's going to be a great day, so I don't want t put a damper on it due to the unfortunate end result.

That my friend is because Gayle and BJ ROCK!!! I can't believe how responsive them have been during my quest to get various years Reds Team sets listed on the Registry. Not to mention when I sent an email on sunday I got a response within 30 minutes. They work on sunday. I've been cautioned to not irritate them by sending a blizzard fo emails about the sets. So I'm cooling my "get the set listed" jets a bit and letting it work its way through the system.
