I personally do not believe so. Especially since I still have a few hundred comics from when I was a kid in the 80s. Tried to sell them but no one wants them. May just sell the few that some wanted and recycle the rest. Not worth keeping up with and moving around with.
I'm glad coins were prominently mentioned as a collectible that's worthy of investment. Assuming that people "investing" in coins know that they must purchase certified coins, I can't see how coins wouldn't be at the top of most lists. An advantage coins (certified) have over most other collectibles is that they are relatively easy to store; just put them in a safe deposit box and you're done. Comics, stamps, baseball cards, autographs... are items that generally require specialized storage to prevent damage and keep them in top condition.
Wish they would have touted sportscards as an investment to consider as well.
