After you enjoy the Trade Dollar display at the PCGS Table and Laura's Table, please also stop by Table 651. Rick Kay (the newest Pattern Coin Dealer) will be displaying some spectacular 19th Century pattern coins at the Table and Rick has invited me to also display some modern coins.
I thought it would be a nice opportunity to put out some PCGS MONSTER DEEP CAMEO MODERNS along side regular PCGS DCAM examples. Most of these coins will be dated 1999-2002, but this will only acentuate the point even more (as many believe the Mint produces strong DCAM's on every proof coin these days). These will not be for sale, but simply to educate that there IS A BIG DIFFERENCE between "run of the mill" DCAM coins and spectacular DCAM's. I personally love the idea of building certain DCAM+++ collections for virtually the same price as regular coins. Many of these coins can be found today for well under $35! Yes, it may take 10 years (if not forever) before anyone cares, but I think they are kind of neat. If your budget for coins is more in line with $25-$50/coin, you might find the display very interesting
I should also have a couple PCGS-MS69 State Quarters at the table, as well as some other modern "goodies".
I look forward to saying hello to anyone who stops by and I hope to see you there.

I am looking for a 2003 Proof Deep Cameo Lincoln cent Monster....
I also need a pattern 2009 s vdb wheat reverse
stewart
But, again, the PCGS-PR69DCAM coins will not even for sale. They will just be there to illuminate the fact that not all holders are created equal - a lesson that obviously carries through to more classic coins as well. Wondercoin

See ya tomorrow at Long Beach. Wondercoin
Great idea and a fun time. Nice to meet some of the people that have just been names on the boards. Some of the collection of toned coins that Bear passed around were truly beautiful. And to top it off, thanks to the benefactor (don't know whether he wants to be identified, so I won't) who picked up the lunch tab for all 20 (or so) of us.
Pete
I happened to make a mistake and call Mitch during The Lunch. The background noise sounded like Christmas...
10 jaws a flappin'
9 glasses clankin'
8 slabs a crackin'
7 soups a slurpin'
6 grades a gripe-'n'
5 high fives...
4 ATs
3 resubmissions
2 braddicks, and,
1 payer of the check.
And, a special thanks to Miles Standish, VP of marketing at PCGS and senior grader at Long Beach this week, who graciously "picked up the bill" for all 20 of us!
Maybe we can do it again next Long Beach!! Wondercoin
Woah...go ahead and put me on the list for lunch at the next Long Beach show.
