I've seen a 1967 Canadian "PF-67 commemorative dollar" in an ACG holder. The problems were that 1) Canada didn't even strike proofs until 1973, so the coin was unc, 2) it was a medal, not a dollar, and 3) it was nowhere near MS-67, let alone PF-67.
At the coin show today, a dealer had a 1968-D Kennedy in a ACG holder graded MS68MPL. It was a real nice coin to be in such a crappy holder. Other dealers were calling this dealer "weasel". Made me go to another table.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
Keep bagging ACG and see if I don't submit everyones email address for the 50 cent reward!!
HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess those who bid on those coins don't have much use for their cash? Every market has shady sellers and inferior products. Numismatics as a marketplace for collectibles has a bit more room for fraud. I don't feel sorry for the bidders. After the first 42 seconds as a collector one should know who to avoid and who has more legitimacy as a professional grader
I think you should! it would be interesting to see the result...

We are finite beings, limited in all our powers, and, hence, our conclusions are not only relative, but they should ever be held subject to correction. Positive assurance is unattainable. The dogmatist is the only one who claims to possess absolute certainty.
Yeah but wouldn't Russ really feel like crap if he became the first person in history to recieve a bodybag from ACG? I mean not that I think he would, but there is a *small, infinitesmal* chance that he *could*.

<< <i>Has ACG No Shame Whatsoever?? >>
You needed to ask?
Russ, NCNE
I believe that Michael Dixon received a bodybag from ACG for a coin cracked out of an ANACS slab. ACG said counterfeit.
<< <i>Anyone can submit to ACG. All you need is a lack of ethics and morals. >>
So, Greg, if one submits an obviously AT'd coin to ACG simply as a test, they have no morals or ethics?
Russ, NCNE
(I know you didn't mean to lump Michael in that group, but it just kind of came out that way.)

<< <i>Greg- You might want to clarify that Michael Dixon DOES have ethics and morals and I believe he sent a coin or two to Accugrade on a whim.

Correct. MD is one of the good guys.
