I have to have this coin but I can't belive it went this high, originally I said I wouldn't pay more than $100. lol Do you guys think that this is worth it? Link
I believe he is questioning why the coin only received the PR63 designation. In other words, the coin has such great toning that the seller believes the coin should have graded higher. In my opinion, the PR63 grade is for those obvious and obtrusive carbon spots all over the surfaces.
yeah I also noticed that but he does have a return policy if anything turns out to be wrong.
Yes, but he charges a 10% restocking fee. However, he has stated in the past that he may waive it.
The seller is a forum member, MrD, but he doesn't post often. There has been some debate as to whether his pictures look accurate. I purchased a coin from him off eBay and I felt the picture was accurate enough. It's impossible to get a perfect picture and the coin looked pretty much like what I expected it to look like.
A little heat over the years and a $50.00 {high side PCGS price guide} PR 63 cent for $450.00!!!!!! I believe I would seek to invest in a different coin, low mintage and in better demand!

Way to many spots for my tastes also. I also suspect that most of the color you see in that picture stems from the type of lighting that is used. I seriously doubt that those colors will show under regular lighting.
Ladies and gentlemen, The coin looks pretty much like the photo in natural sunlight(where I took this particular picture) The coin does have spots as represented in the pictures. It is a beautiful color coin but it is the spots that probably justify the grade. I bought the coin from a retail coin co. because its cool....The next owner will probably like it as well...because its cool! Dick
A coin like that makes me think more about submitting my 54 proof penny Similar toning and without the carbon spots... hmmm. Still haven't sent in my 4 free because i can't decide. I'll see if i can take a decent picture of it soon and upload it here to see what you people think.

Greg, gmarguli, has already said his pictures are accurate.
I could not have said it better myself. I think that rd5425 was lucky to be taken off the hook by cbally! But what do I know, I do not collect "rainbow monsters"?!
The color is REAL COOL, But when it comes time to sell-those carbon spots will be crammed down your throat !-Without the spots i would be a player and i could care less about coppers. Regards Mike Rogers ultramike@collector.org

As for price, while I personally think it is high, toning brings crazy prices at times. You never know what the coin will be worth to someone else.
