Auctioned registry collections - why are they still on the registry??

You would think that a major auction like the Gorrell sale at the FUN show would get the collection delisted from the active registry sets. Does the owner actually have to contact PCGS or do it themselves??
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." • Lakes,

The MS version of Gorrell is long down. I guess the PR is still up. When somebody tries to register one of his old proofs they will delete the set. I recall trying to add a coin already registered to someone else and CU actually contacted the previous owner before I could add the coin.

I bet Heritage put Gorrell's coins on the Registry just to get attention for the auction.

All you have to do is bring it to BJ's attention and she will remove it from the Registry.
