Are nice blue jeffs worth slabbing? Is there enough of a premium and market for these coins?

  • They are incredibly common. There are a number of collectors here with 30 to 60 of them. If it grades at 68, or better, with vibrant colors and vibrant lustre, then there can be enough premium to justify the costs of slabbing the coin(s). Put a few of your best ones in with your next submission. Good luck! image

i would say not worth slabbing unless the colors are incredible and you get at least a 69 grade.

Currently, no. There is a premium on these, but there is very little spread in that premium between a raw one and a slabbed one. If the market gets hot for them, and there suddenly become questions revolving around real toning and artificial toning, that would change. But, right now there's no incentive to try and fake them because the payoff isn't high enough.

    They are fun, though.image

It all depends on who you talk to. I happen to like them alot, have 27 in 68* or higher...and NO RUSS, TAKE YOUR HEAD OUT OF KENNEDYS YOU KNOW WHAT image, they are not common in 68* or higher and if you see them they are worth the premium. Under that then they are common and not worth it. You can find not only blue, but multiples of colors anywhere between yellow/gold/to real bright purple/rose colors...wild in that if you look close, the toning appears to be thousands of tiny dots colored and stuck to suface..

real fun coins, russ is correct there image

PCGS PR68. If it were NGC, it'd be a PR69*********************************.
