Ebay Auctions...Finally Minute Excitement.

Does anyone else find the need to continuously refresh their own ebay auctions in the final minute up until completion? Do you enjoy watching two or more bidders battling it out until the dust settles and only one victor rises from the ashes?

I just had two auctions end and had none of that... *sigh*

Is it me or are auctions not getting as much interest as they were last year? I could put just about anything up for auction and I would get crazy money for it. I would imagine the economy is having a huge impact....

  • I must not be bidding on any of your auctions Dave, because it seems like on about 3 out of 4 that I bid on its snipe counter snipe.
  • I'm having a good week. Sometimes things are hot, sometimes not. I can't predict where the interest will be. The worst week was when I had auctions end during the Super Bowl.
  • During the superbowl, I had a careful eye on the TV and Ebay for auctions that were ending during the Superbowl. I knew Tampa Bay was going to win prior to them playing. (I played the game over and over again on Madden Football) I think I was the high bidder on three coins that night. image

My Beer Stein's I sold last year went up into hundreds of dollars... the ones I have on now are under $20. Granted some of them suffered damage through the years but... These are usually hot items.

...but I'm just glad "One Man's Just Is Another Man's Treasure"... image

  • Carl,
If you had listed your 1924 Buffalo nickel to end during the super bowl, instead of tonight, I can comfortably say that it would be sitting on my desk right now! image
