43D/D Lincoln opinions?

I already bid and may bid again. What does everyone think. I say its MS63 maybe 64.

The grade you mention seems about right, but the price doesn't. Either I'm way out of touch or that's going for more than 50% above retail.

Heritage lists an MS63 at $575-$700, again slabbed. THey are a pretty good indication of what things sell for.

Yup, I guess I am out of touch...LOL!

If you got the moula, go for it! It might be wise to sit on your bid till the last minute though. If Heritage takes it that high, I'd see the low end of it.

Isn't this realy D/D/D there is a strong D south-west (down and right) but I think there is another south east (down and right) just slightly higher than the strongly repunched D???

Nope, it's just a D/D. I've had a couple of GEM BU examples under my scope before....really nice RPM, but just two punches there.

I haven't seen this coin personally, but I know this dealer VERY well. In fact, he's holding a 43 D/D for me (he ran across a few of them in an OBW I believe). He's a great dealer, honest guy, and he's my "go to guy" for rolls and raw coins. Let the scan guide your price, but as I always say about Paul, "You can bid with confidence."
