Whats the best way to photograph DMPL Morgans

Scanning never works and I can't seem to capture the mirrors correctly on some Morgans with deep mirrors. Any ideas?

  • I put it at a 90 degree angle standing up and have a light shine down on it. It captures the deep mirrors and heavy frost well.

  • KK has it right - the nice thing about DMPL's is that you can let the light shine off the coin, and if you get it just right, it'll reflect off the mirrors very nicely.

I think I turned this sideways on the scanner and propped the left side on a pencil.

Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
