PCGS Submission Question

Hi;

I want to submit some coins for grading to PCGS. They want us to use 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 flips for holding the coins. I've only seen 2x2's. Anyone have a source for the right flips?

PCGS sells the right ones.

It does not matter. You could probably send them in loose and they would grade them. I have sent in hundreds in 2X2 flips with never a problem.

I send em in 2X2 flips all the time, it doesn't matter. But for anything larger than a quarter you may want to use 2.5X2.5 because it's easier to get them in and out.

Just make sure you use non-PVC flips, especially for proofs. Because the time they sit there waiting in them it will ruin the coin.

PCGS calls them Saflips. As long as you specify "inert" or "mylar" you should be fine.
