    Marty-

Do you think anybody would pay that much for one of those, or do you plan on stocking up on more now that they're so cheap?

Check the names of his other auctions:

2002 P OHIO QUARTER "ASTRONAUT" DIE CRACK

2002 P OHIO QUARTER "AQUANAUT" DIE CRACK

ALAN B SHEPARD SPACESUIT SPRUNG A LEAK

...and probably the most disturbing name for a die crack in the neck area of a Kennedy:
    OSWALD KENNEDY DIE CRACK ERROR

PCGS Currency: HOF 2013, Best Low Ball Set 2009-2014, 2016, 2018. Appreciation Award 2015, Best Showcase 2018, Numerous others.
  • John Glenn was from Ohio!!!! Not Alan B. Shepard. Shepard is from New Hampshire. I live just a few miles from Glenns` hometown of New Concord. Sorry for the outburst but the " King of Coins ( yeah right ) " is an annoying retard.

Well, the point here is that he's not getting any bids...so the items aren't actually "selling" are they?

  • I just don't understand why he calls it the pi$$ing man quarter when it is obviously coming out the other side, if you know what I mean.
  • He has a neg in his feedback. here is the text:

Complaint : THIS CREEP DAMAGES COINS FOR PROFIT! READ HIS POSTS IN COINS DISCUSSION FORUMS!!
Response by kingcoin99 - I made the AT coins look like the real thing. The real ones are to expensive.

I have my one, it's in a NGC holder and I'm happy with it... I guess that's all that matters...

  • That is proof that pcgs gives a boost to the price. In an anacs holder it is worth only $100 not $100,000 imageimage

Mine is in a NGC slab, there are none (as far as I know) in PCGS slabs yet. But if I find another raw proof set...image

  • I actually have one of these and am thinking about sending it to pcgs, do you guys think that this is a major error that will appreciate in value.
  • No and that's what we all told KinKoin back when he was trying to promote them as such on eBay at $100,000. That's what we told him again when he joined here, which caused him to become abusive enough that he got banned. So he went across the street to the NGC forums and tried again. (From what I understand he has been kicked out over there four times so far for his inappropriate behaviour, language etc.) In the meantime he has gotten one of his quarters slabbed by ANACS and the price for his "great rarity" has dropped from $100K to just $100, and he still can't get anyone to rise to the bait. Ok, it's a proof coin with a die crack. A little unusual but not unheard of. Might add a couple dollars if you find the right person. But most collectors want their proofs perfect so the crack actually eliminates about 90% of the potential purchase base.
