Here is a scan of my newest coin. I received my digital camera and this coin on the same day, so take it easy on my picture. The photo is a very good representation of the coin and a decent photo, for my first attempt with a new camera.
Thanks to Robertpr for the assistance in posting this to the forum.
I'm starting to believe that every Morgan minted has some way or another has passed through a board members hands. Or the mintage figures are wrong and there's only about 10,000 of them out there and we are all just one big circle passing to the right and recieving form the left.
It cracks me up when I see a post like this and two or three people recognize the coin. Like one big family with a extensive photo album.
I think that's great!!!

2158 Bi-Centennial quarters left. I bought a newspaper today.
Did I purchase that piece from you? If so, it must have been some time back....or else I'm having another one of those pesky senior moments. I know I've bought a piece or two from you but didn't recall where I'd acquired that one.
Trooper,
At the New York ANA I showed a number of toned Morgans from my personal collection to a west coast dealer who specializes in such coins. He too commented that he recognized a few 'old friends' in the group....none of which he'd sold to me.
And to be honest with you, that's one of the things I like best about beautifully toned Morgans. I can easily forget my white coins, but with the toned ones each being unique, I remember them years later. Well, most of 'em.

No, I sold it to TBT so you must have bought it from him. I have to agree with you about recognizing toned coins, its always nice to see a new collector appreciate an old friend.

I wonder if anyone recognizes this one. (Hint: the previous owner has posted to this thread)
It is a small world, I guess. My wife was the one looking for a Toned Morgan, and GSAguy sent me a few coins to look at, and this was one of the coins. My wife said that the colors were not vibrant enough for her liking. I just couldn't send that coin back, so I had to buy it for myself. I think I am hooked on the toned Morgans now. Thanks for your opinions.

P.S. I must say that Bryan is a wonderful person to deal with and would highly recommend him to everyone.
Yes, That's a beauty and you guys are correct, you do tend to remember the pretty ones you've owned even if for just a short while. In fact, there are at least 20 Morgans I've owned in the Heritage auction and I'm not even through them all yet.

Very nice coin. I also like the mixture of toned with textile.

P.S. - gsaguy- do you own the coin you are using for an icon. It is one of the nicest toned morgans I have ever seen.
Yep, she's a family member.
