PCGS: How do they grade coins

What's PCGS's process for evaluating coins. High power/low power scope? visual? Throw a dart at the MS board?

What are the steps they use in determining the final grade?

    Nice score on the 85-cc, was it raw or a crackout???
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
