PCI is getting kind of lazy!

Quick turnaround times, but they're slipping up on insert information. It used to be they'de include, on the Concept dollar, info like: 'finalist design' 'Gallery mint' and/or "Concept Dollar" along with the date.
I've sent four of these in, each about six months apart, and each one is coming back with less and less info! Here's the one that arrived today:

Concept Dollar

PCI's time getting this submission was a little over one week, but I'd rather they keep the coins a day or two longer and give me more info on the inserts! image

  • image I've had several coins submitted over the past several months, and for awhile, between their move and the FUN Show, I had heard they were going to make some big improvements. I'm waiting with baited breath for the return of my 1922 no D strong reverse! I think the only company that spends a great deal of time and detail on grading and identity is ANACS! I believe in the future any varieties will make the trip there! Total detail of coin, grade, variety and other information is on the tag!!image

PCI is worthless. I don't consider them, even a nominal force in numismatics.
In fact, I treat PCI coins as raw. The plastic is just an extra burden. PCI adds
absolutely no value to a raw coin, in many instances it condemns the coin.

PCI is basically ACG with a worse slab.

Tough room! PCI is certainly fourth teir grading, but I wouldn't lump them with ACG (at least, not quite yet. . .)~!

  • I'm stumped, too!! I see no trash talk, or e-bay references. Maybe, because I'm sitting here drinking beer!!!!!!!
  • PCI used to be great. I used to buy their old green label holders at a deep discount (Compared to PCGS & NGC), crack 'em out and submit it to PCGS for 1 or 2 point upgrade (Sometimes the same grade) They have now turned into the worst grading service ever! Maybe worse than ACG!!!
    Go METS!!!
