    Definitely won't be done within 25 years. Same type of thought that predicted we'd be living on the moon withn 25 years after landing on it in 1969.

    Paper currency makes an excellent vehicle for transmitting disease, coin much less so.
    Old worn coins even less since they have more shallow crevices for dirt to accumulate.
    Coin collecting is likely to fade away within a couple generations of the discontinuance
    of coin production because there will be no source of new collectors. There may be ex-
    tensive token collecting if businesses issue lots of them for nastalgic reasons.

    Many people are likely to demand currency and the government will have little option
    than to produce it.
