New additions

I received some packages today. One of those freak things where what you are looking for comes in all the same day. I recently picked off a 1989 Congressional Coins three coin set, box, holder, papers; a 1989 prestige proof set (My first), and a Uncirculated Liberty half. Again, box and papers. I bid a bid early and waited till the end of the auction. I researched the pricing first with redbook at 80% and then with recent sales. I figured my price and 7 seconds before launched my bid. Thanks everyone for the tips. I bid early so that I don't feel like I cheated and bid smart at the end so I have as good a chance as I'll pay for. I have also noticed that auctions that end later in the night 1-3 can be easy drop ins. So I just thought I'd share the news.

  • meos,
After the discussion a few eeks ago about www.esnipe.com, My bidding habits have changed dramatically. I now "cruise the selections" in my spare time, enter my max at eSnipe, and forgettaboutit....

I've been winning way more than I used to, and it keeps me out of those passionate, "I gotta have it worse than you" bidding wars I used to get into so often image

Congrats on both the baby and the new coins. I'm sure you'll enjoy the baby a great deal more than any coin you have or ever will have. The baby will also cause you more worry, grief and concern, happiness, pride, joy, anger, laughter ... than you will ever get from coin.

Take time to enjoy everyday, they grow very fast.
