2003 Commemorative half-dollar?? Opinions Please

The year 2003 is the 40 aniversary of Kennedy's death.
Do you think the mint should do a commemorative coin of this? Or should they wait more time to do it??
What do you think???

Yes... and let's start with the Lifeguard of Chapaquidick (sp?).
I personally don't see a commercial need for the half dollar now, and I doubt, given the low mintage over the past several years, that it will be around in ten years.
A commemorative at this time may spark new interest in the coin. Look at the total number of quarters minted each year as compared to the years before statehoods. If for no other reason, maybe folks would start hoarding halves and possibly spark a new interest in the series.
Some folks have commented on the possibility of a commemorative honoring the Columbia disastor. Is it a good idea to tie it to a Kennedy commem and sell it as the guy who launched the space program?
Just random thoughts.
