If you like white coins, you should consider focusing on NGC coins.

If you like white coins, you should consider focusing on NGC coins.

It just makes sense. PCGS doesn't offer a conservation service but NGC does (throught NCS).

It stands to reason that most white coins will end up in NGC holders because of not only because of NCS but also because, from what i
hear, NGC is grading more coins than PCGS.

If you like your holders to match, you're just gonna make it easier on yourself by focusing from the git go on NGC holders.

Also, if your focus is white coins and one of your white coins develops a spot or some toning, if it's in a PCGS holder, you options are
limited. If it is in an NGC holder, you can always have the toning removed, safely and get the coin back into the same type of holder.

Just a thought.

  • I like WHITE COINS, but I like MONEY more! I will stick with PCGS! There is a reason why PCGS coins command a premium! NGC will probably raise it a grade too, NO THANKS!

    I question your sincerity. LOL

NCS does not only remove unattractive toning, but offer other services as well; in fact, they CLAIM not to simply remove toning just because it is unattractive (paraphrased).

Are you implying that NCS conserved coins are "ineligible" for encapsulation at PCGS, as a rule? (That may be a worthy question for the Q&A forum, if it hasn't already been posed)

I take it, you are not an advocate of coin conservation.

Gilbert, I think you may be reading too much into ANACONDA'S thoughts.

    Then again, maybe not.

Would it be a good idea for PCGS to have their own 'NCS' service???
I am wondering why they don't. It would be more money for them and 'whiter' PCGS coins for us.
