Hello,
I am hunting for the barber coins for more than 6 months now ...... can anyone tell me why people don't want to exchange barber coins...... I am a collector who only like to exchange coins not buy them..... is something so special about barber that the owner don't want to let it out. Still looking for Barber coins in fine grade.....lets see when the hunt ends

Bye,
Nanda

Can't help you Nanda, but I am just curious as to what you're offering in trade? Perhaps people who collect Barber coins do not, as a rule, collect whatever it is you're trading. Just a thought.

Nanda asks: "is something so special about barber that the owner don't want to let it out."
It takes me 6 months to a year to find each one so I'm not in any hurry to get rid of them.
Very few collectors have nice coins to trade in return.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

Nanda, What is so special about Barbers and any classic coinage is..... They are tough to find in original condition. Meaning not dipped, cleaned, or played with. I don't look for them in Fine condition, but a few on the boards here collect them. And I know they have a hard time finding coins with surfaces I've described. So if you're looking for something like that ( and you should be) it's going to be tough to pry them out of a collectors hands. Or you would need to offer something well deserving of a trade.

There are plenty of junky ones around, but I don't advise seeking out this material. Oh, wait a minute.... yeah go for the junky stuff so I'll be able to find the good stuff.image
