Please explain this auction.

Look, I have a college eduction.

I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but not the dumbest either.

But I'm having trouble with this auction: $4.99 + $5.25 shipping = $10.24

Huh? $10.24 for $1.50?

Man, turn enough of these deals and you can retire early.

    It's primarily because this guy doesn't know how to ship rolls the cheapest way. I can send 20 rolls for $3.85 because I have researched the best method and developed a container to do so. Needless to say, my roll sales on eBay were always pretty good.

    Edited to add: He's also looking for profit in new rolls...good luck. Far roo many of them out there still to expect bid for them, which I believe is around a buck a roll. I'd pay 80 cents a roll for them including shipping...
