Does anyone know the SMR on a 1976 K #36 Johnny Bench PSA 10?The online SMR does not list 76 Kellogg's.
Thanks!

Thanks for the tip GMM.I didn't know if the SMR magazine was different than the online subscription.

Good question!!
Although I think, and other K Kollectors think, that SMR should report all sets, it would be probably not feasable for CU to report all the K sets.
If you look at the BIG picture, there are more collectors that coillect 1970 and 1971. I don't know why??? It just seems to be the K sets of choice. There seems to be an illusion about the early K sets, that because they're older, that they would be "more valuble". Sure, the top dollars go to the 2 early sets, but IMHO they are not the most challanging. The 1981 and 1975 set come to mind. I would never say that one set is more special than another set. But I would state that, after viewing 100's of thousands of K Kards, that there are certainly holes that haven't been filled (1981 Dave Winfield for example has had 0 submissions...Do you know why??...I do.). Little known facts like this one, intrigues a very small group of people who collect a very small group of cards compared the the vast number of collectors who collect vast numbers of "regular" cards. This all leads back to your question...Why doesn't SMR report 1976 Kellogg's cards??...Answer: There isn't enough collector base to support it. In sure guys like crazysc and others who collect small, regional, food issue sets are also asking the same question.
Thanks

Your right about it not beng feasable looking at these pop totals.
I'm pretty surprised to see these K issues(Particularly the early to Mid 70s) have such low pop totals with all the popularity on and off this board for Kellogg's cards.
I think I'm going to spend more time at the next show lookng for more of these cards.I was contemplating buying the majorty of the binder this dealer had from 70 to 82 K cards.(Hope to run into him again. There were cards much nicer to pick than some of the other Bench cards we wound up taking. This 76 10 is a first!
