Is it necessary to snipe Heritage Internet auctions?

There's no question in my mind that sniping is the only way to go on Ebay. How about Heritage's Internet only auctions? Do you wait until just before auction close to bid? If so, how long before the end do you bid? I know Heritage's server(s) can get pretty bogged down and even unresponsive at times. so it can be reisky to wait until the final seconds.

I don't think you can snipe- bidding is extended (and on the floor)

  • I have bought a number of coins from Heritage auctions and never thought to snipe. I just put my lowball high price in and if I get it, fine. If not, fine. I have yet to bid on something that I felt I really had to have, but I tend to be more aggressive as a bidder at Heritage than I do with ebay.

I think the question is ablout internet only auctions. I usually figure out the most I am willing to pay and stick by it win or lose.
  • Edit that... forget it image

  • I don't always wait until the last minute, but definitely wait until the last hour. Why give away your bid early and leave it out there for some sniper to make careful plans to steal your coin? About the only advantage to going somewhat early is to bid over the next increment and make it a bigger jump for someone to snipe you.
