I have a few Andrew Jackson pieces and find them very important historically, but have never thought about pursuing this exciting area seriously. It is something to think about. I would contact the ANA if I were you. I would also send an email to Dave Bowers, I believe he collects them. His private email is on the B&M website and in Coin World next to his column.
Bill Jones, who is a board member/dealer, has a very nice selection of different tokens available. Bill is an excellent dealer, and I recommend you drop him a PM, and let him know what you are looking for. Good luck!
I think they're cool. I just wait until a show comes around so I can pick them up in person. Even at the smallest shows there's usually a dealer or two that has some.
If you are looking for sources to buy token's, I don't have any, but for reference, this web site has a lot of nice images of hard times tokens.
By the way, I recognize the dragon in your signature as being from the computer game "Ultima Online" Just curious, do/did you play that game, perchance?
