Question concerning registry and customer service

I received a coin the other day that I bought of ebay. I went to add it to my registry, but the registry would not accept the coin because the grade is not in the system. So I checked the cert # and PCGS recognizes the coin but as it stated in the registry it has no grade. How common is it for coins to be certified and not be added to the system? How can I remedy this problem, I do not have a camera or scanner readily available to to show proof of the coins grade? My other question is that I emailed PCGS last Monday to find out how I can solve this problem, and I still have no reply, is this common customer service for PCGS? Thanks.

I had a coin that came up as a different year. E-mail customer service and they will be able to help you. The had me send them the coin and they assigned a new serial number. Good luck.

eMail gayle@collectors.com. I've run in to the same problem a couple times and she's been right on it and took care of it. She has asked for scans of the coins though, to prove ownership.

Thanks for the info. I can get a camera it will just take a while, oh well can wait. Bye the way Russ nice Kennedy set! This brings up another question. Do these system errors reflect on the population?

You can "xerox" the coin and either fix the image or mail PCGS the copy of the image. She should be able to solve it for you.
