GSA Price question?

I am looking for prices on two GSA Morgans I looked at PCGS price guide and don't listing for GSA but I do see the dates I have is it safe to say they are about right or can someone give me an Idea
1883-CC and an 1885-CC also I see NGC is grading these coins in there holders what do everyone think
I did an electrical job for an older gent some years back and he tried to give them to me as payment I told him NO payment I would not execept them or money. Well he passed a few weeks back and his wife found them in his safe with my name on them she gave them to me and would not take no for an answer said I did enought for them thur the years and she would be insulted if I did not take them
So I guess I'm stuck with them LOL.

    GTO,

The bluesheet does list GSA prices but I'm not sure how accurate it is these days. I prefer to look in the back of the greysheet and Coin World for published buy prices by a number of national dealers.

The latest prices (base grade) for the 83-CC is $105 and for the 85-CC it's $325.

The NGC program is an interesting one and I hope that it finally stems the crackout of so many GSA coins.

To elaborate on what GSAGuy said, dealers are currently offering to pay about $105 for the '83-CC and $325 for the '85-CC in GSA slabs (you might get a touch more with the boxes and certs or a touch less without them).

Check out the Southern Gold Society

  • Do a GSA search on ebay, and you can get a feel for what they're going for these days....

Point of reference....King of Carson City...a big dealer of these in Brooklyn (has a web site) will pay you about 100 for an 83 and 300 for an 85 if you have the box and serialized card to go with it.
