Help!: Seller describes coin has having rainbow toning. Either its there or I am going blind?

    I've tried to scan some pretty toned Roosevelts, and it often just looks dark like that one's toning. It MAY be more attarctive in person than in the scan.

    Have bought from this seller - all his scans make his coins look like mud. The few I've bought are colorful - much better than the pics but not monsters by any means - more like colorful mint set coins. Good to deal with for the few transcations I've done - just don't set your expectations too high.

    Yeah, if the scan was better. I just see a hint of brown.

    From what I've seen, anything that has a smidge of blue anywhere on the coin (including the edge I think!) is deemed rainbow on ebay!!! image

    All to common occurance, a "toned" coin is called MONSTER, RAINBOW, VIVID, etc. Image shows a piece of fecal matter for a coin.

    I have some rainbow toned coins that if shot straight on like this coin was, it shows an ugly lackluster gray color.
