Somebody paid too much for these

I saw a post on these proof Mercury dimes earlier so I had to check up on them to see how high they would go.

3 proof mercs

$873 for 3 raw proof Mercs!. Ok, they have the old ANACS certs but the grading standards have changed since them. Somebody is taking a big risk in buying these without seeing them and grading them. I am a coin collector, not a coin gambler.

Although I don't have any Merc Proofs. It does look like they were bid too high. (they don't look as good as your logo)image

    Merc,
    Very cool.

Who ever bought those can compare the coins to the photos and tell if they are all orginal.

It never ceases to amaze me how some are willing to gamble with grading and "too good to be true" deals on ebay.

No one in this hobby is going to give away something for nothing. I suspect the coins will not grade out in PCGS or up at ANACS.

The seller does have a money back guarantee.
