autograph signature on coin missing original thread but here is some of the info

could not find the message but in short people were asking about autographed coins...I mentioned that they were done a long time ago before pcgs...someone emailed me asking for more info so here is some of the info from a ebay listing.......
You are bidding on a Bay Bridge Commemorative Half Dollar which is actually signed by Jacques Schnier the original designer...now here is the crazy part...if you remember back in 1986 the plan was for Mr. Schnier to sign 1,000 pieces which were each sealed in a custom holder...the UNCIRCULATED SPECIMENS were hand selected from the original 71,369 mintage...but here is the crazy part...Sorry to say that Mr. Schnier passed away before signing them all...in fact, I was told by a well known collector of Commemorative Items that this he probably only got to sign only 2/3 of the original 1000 THIS ONE YOU ARE BIDDING ON is # 176 of 1000... WOW this is only the 5th one I have seen offered for sale since the eighties and I have only seen TWO other than one I sold on ebay ever before! ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO I SOLD ONE ON EBAY # 1311411613 AND IT SOLD FOR $531.48 and the other one was EBAY # 1330676835 AND IT SOLD FOR $ 483... Whats it worth well back in 1986 they sold for over $550 bucks and sold like crazy.
