1923 Standing Liberty Quarter

I had a hard time getting a decent photo of this one. The toning is pretty dark so it was hard to get the light so that I could get some details. I like it but wonder if how many will think it is too dark.

It would be a bit dark for my taste - toning shouldn't hide the details, which it does in this case.

I think she is beautiful. Not too dark for me. Is it reddish like it appears?

It is reddish to the right and blueish to the left. The toning really is fairly dark, one does need a bright light to make out the details. But with a light and loupe I can make out her ear hole. The toning is circular as if a dime were resting on this coin

It looks nice but i would pass and wait for one with a little bit less toning. I've been looking for a toned SLQ for a while and they are hard to come by with nice toning most of it is really ugly.

I like it. I guess I'm a fan of toning in the field and sharp details. I need to find a nice SLQ someday. I think this is an attractive one to me.

I think shes beautiful! It looks like a very strong strike. It doesn't quite look full head but it wouldn't surprise me if it had the FH designation. The 1923 is kind of scarce in FH

That SL quarter has an excellent strike. I can see the ear hole but I can't tell if it is a full head or not. The shield is extreemly well struck. I have a 1929-S MS65 FH with a super head, but not a full shield. I just pulled out my '23-P. The shield on yours is stronger. The toning on yours it not too bad. I like the reds. If it goes to black, then it is too dark for me. Still, the toning is even. I had a 1928-S MS65FH that was brilliant with random dark brown spots. Even toning is much nicer than spots.

I was specifically looking for a coin that had a good strike, especially on the shield, but was not graded FH. This is a PCGS MS 65.
