McGrady Sits For MJ...

Tracy McGrady has offered to let MJ take his starting spot in this years All Star Game. That is extememly sellfess. While I think he (McGrady) has earned that starting spot, it is a very nice gesture. Kudos to Tmac.

Has anyone seen Vince Carter lately? Is he still in the NBA, the fans voted him as a starter, but he has only played like 4 games...What a loser.

If anyone should give up their spot, it should be Carter....What's that all aboot?

    Jordan this, Jordan that.. lets just make him a waterboy for the East instead of giving him a starting spot.. if you go by his numbers he doesn't deserve to be a starter (then again, Ming and Carter don't deserve to be one either, but it's the fans who decide so if they want T-Mac as a starter, he shouldn't let the fans down and start instead of giving his spot to Jordan)

    I never said MJ deserved to start, I never said he earned the spot. I just made a point that Tmac is very selfless...And that carter is a has-been.

    Undertaker, that happens in any sport when a player is in their last season. Good example... Cal Ripken Jr. The coach of that team said if Ripken wasn't voted in, he was still going to be on the team regardless. T-Mac is young, he has a lot more All-Star games ahead of him.

    Its called respect for an athlete. Jordan was selected because this is his last season and has been the best player in the history of the NBA. I know if I was going to this All Star game, i'd be thrilled to watch Jordan play for even 5 minutes. Oh, and the All Star ballot is just a popularity contest. I mean, this isn't even close to what happens in baseball. Oh, and by the way, in Ozzie Smith's last season in 1996, he was selected to be a backup by the manager, even though he was having horrible stats.
