Favorite State Quarter Reverse - Prize Offered!
Those of you who know me from this board know that I usually only jump in when the topic is Lincoln cents. So this thread is really "way out" for me! What is your favorite reverse in the state quarter series?
My daughter has started to collect these (with a tiny push from her Dad
) and it was only after she got interested that I started to look closely at the reverse of the coins. My favorites (so far) are; 1) Mississippi; 2) Virginia; and 3) Maryland. Her enthusiasm is contagious!!
How about a bit of a contest? What do my three favorite reverses have in common? (Hint: it's not what's there but what is not there...)
First PM to me with the correct answer gets a 2000-P Sacagawea graded MS66 by PCGS. If I were an ebay Powerseller, I would charge you $9.00 shipping and handling, but for this contest, I pay postage but not insurance (your call on insurance.) (It's probably not worth the insurance.)
If you check the time of this post and realize that I'm in the Central Time Zone (appr. 3:40 a.m.) you realize that this kind of opportunity presents itself only rarely, so take advantage!
