This Grant With Star sure does look faked to me...

How about everone else? The placement is too far to the left. The top point of the star is supposed to be right below the last "A" in America. Also, this star looks crooked, tood highly defined and it looks like there's raised metal surrounding it.

Seller clearly states the star is ADDED thus a tooled piece.Its a NG (No Grade)

So when the buyer lists it for sale and does not mention it's altered just remember the diagnostics Outhaul mentioned. It's also interesting in the endless NGC vs PCGS debates to note that Harry Laibstain mentions in his book that at the time the total pop of MS 66 Grants included 12 NGC coins and they wouldn't make 66 @ PCGS so PCGS carries a large prem over NGC in that grade. He says the differences are less in 64 & 65 and below 64 there isn't much difference between PCGS & NGC.
