2001 cent errors

Found a 2001P with the ONE CENY lightly doubled. Looked on ebay and didn't see any for sale. Just how noticable does the doubling get on these?

Thanks, mike

It can only be machine doubling and as such is not worth a premium.

Unfortunatly it is machine/strike/ejection doubling (common), but my own opinion is its still some cool looking error.

I think there could be a premium for them if the `visability` of the doubling is great.
The more dramatic ,and or visible, the more likely it could be whatever over face.

I always keep em since it is something different.

It would have to be easily naked eye visible to bring a premium worth bothering with.

If you are looking for doubled dies on cents, you'll have to stick with coins dated 1997 or before.

Thanks for the responses, think i know what you man by machine error, the coin shifted?

Problem with "naked eye" is i ususlly can't make out the mint mark , s, d or p, yet my son can read the print around the portrait on a $20 bill without glasses. And he passes the DMV eye test easily, without glasses. As a 20 year old i'd see this with the naked eye. As a 50 year old a couldn't find my...donkey, with binocs.
