I'm not sure, but I think I've been offended by a fellow board member

I go to my local dealer I haven't seen in a while needing a fix. He says he saved this for me. I feel it's envelope toned and while it looks unc, I see just a slight bit of rub maybe I'm too picky. Anyway Dog97 and I talk coins and email PICS once in a while.
I ask him "how do you like my new raw piece of junk"? Feeling him, of all people would appreciate something like this (if you know Dog then you know what I mean) he replies "well from that PIC you couldn't sell it to me on Ebay." Now, how do I take that? Do you think he was asking me to sell it to him...... away from Ebay? or do you think he was insulting me?
OK, it's not the nicest in the world, and it might not be soooo pretty, but it does have nice luster and cartwheels nice. I just wanted an example of envelope toning. Oh, my dealer said, give me X amount of $ and call it what you want!!!! No hype on this one.
BTW, just because it has a couple faint print lines that you really don't see and on the obv on top of her head is a flash from the scanner, I could not believe he didn't appreciate my new Monster!!!!!

Oh wait, you're not complaining about your dealer.... and both of the parties are forum members....
<Emily Litella voice> That's different. Never mind. </Emily Litella voice>
Seriously, Dog! That ain't a bad lookin' Morgan!
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
It's the weather, I have been more touchy than usual lately. mdwoods

Man I hadn't heard that since I carried my Lucky's in my rolled up shirt sleeve. I wonder if Lucy knows what that means?

Doesn't sound like anything that me and the Teeny Boppers used way back when Daddy-o, It sounds like square talk that the Hepsters can't dig.

I noticed that you've been a little sensitive lately and you shouldn't look into further then want it was.
If you like, who cares what Dog or anyone else says.

<< <i>Starting a thread saying I think I'm offended does not do anything for you exept make the whole forum think your a wimp >>
As for your post, what are you babbling about? It doesn't make any sense.
<< <i>I ask him "how do you like my new raw piece of junk"? >>
I'm sorry if some people took me so serious, I told Dog97 I was going to post this and we thought it might be fun. For the folks that took me serious I would have thought the above statement and other things I said in my post would be a tip off I was just playing.
But I guess human nature will give some a reason to start flaming without even reading. It still was about a coin.
With some of the things I see go on and on here I didn't think having a little fun would hurt.
unless you signal with a happy face , that you are speaking tongue in cheek.
Actually, I get offended just looking in the mirror every morning.

Glad you were just joking stman. I thought maybe you were getting a little too sensitive. BTW It's a good looking Morgan. I'd give you $7 for it.
It's easy to mis-understand others when all you have is the printed word, though. Anyone who took you seriously knows what you mean now, so I wouldnt sweat it. There's bound to be a little anxiety after some of the flame-fests lately.
Thanks for sharing the Morgan, BTW!
They might see then.
do you think he was insulting me?
(if you know Dog then you know what I mean) Yes, I do know Dog and if he was insulting you there would be no question about it.
Make sure you check to see if this coin is a Vam 6 O/O mm If it is, THEN I would call it a monster.
an opinion, it is usually wise to give heed and listen carefully to his accurate and erudite
advice. The only time Dog is snappish is with dunderheads, arrogant pollywogs and Trolls
and assorted denizens who habitate the dark and sinister places of the Forum.
As for Stman, you have always been a gentleman and a person of great merit. All in all,
two really great guys who are a distinct credit to the Forum. As for humour, I thought that was my job
to provide amusement.

So this was his chance to knock my coin, which I knew he would on this one and was waiting for it, and I can take it. I even slept a few hours last night.
He did say he was going to post it for the board to check out and if I minded being put on record as not liking it.
I said not at all!
