Has anyone ever heard of a 1964 Kennedy

with an "In God We Trust" that has a "tail" on the lower-left of the capital "T" in Trust? I found one in a proof set and it looks like the mint did it. The "tail" is slightly raised from the field and about 1/32 of an inch. I tried to shoot a picture but can't get the resolution. Anyway, I thought that if this were a known variety "thing" you guys would know. I'm relatively new at collecting and appreciate all the help I receive from this forum.

My guess is that you are seeing a spread from doubling that usually manifests itself most obviously on the "T". Many of the 1964 die pairs exhibit doubling and tripling. Usually, it looks like an exaggerated serif at the bottom of the left side of the "T", and a straight or almost straight right edge of the "T". Inspect the upper right edge of the "T" closely to see if you can determine whether it appears doubled.
