    i've been to it twice, mediocre at best, just a bunch of the same people that set up at a couple of the other local shows. however, the infamous chicago "coin-doctor" is there, check him out. image

    you gonna go?

    If this 'coin doctor' you speak of has a first name that begins with 'N', then I agree he is a total sleaze and I have also heard from others that he has a little coin doctoring shop in his basement and specializes in working on Buffalo nickels and dollars.

    i will NOT mention any names, but there have been plenty of claims on this forum that coin doctors cannot consistently get wild-n-crazy toning into pcgs plastic. like him or not, this coin doctor proves otherwise. he has made a killing on doing just that.

    if you have the time, go to the show & get an education, at least regarding doctored coins.

    oh, & dragon, -> image

    that's the last thing i'll say about it in this thread.

  • Besides the Countryside show, there is the Itasca show and the Lemont show, (both listed in the coin magazines. These are monthly shows. In addition there is a twice yearly show in Rockford, IL and Milwaukee WI, (both easily accessible from northern Illinois ) here are two major annual shows in Chicago, the International Money Show and the yearly Coin shoe, both of whch are well publicized, at the Rosemont Convention Center.

    Any questions please PM me or contact me at nrp@corecomm.net

  • Who's this "coin doctor" dude that I have been hearing about whenever a Chicago show is mentioned? If he is so well known, then why doesn't somebody or a group of people do something about it? Why would a show promoter allow a known coin doctor into a show?
