Park Ave and RKKay Have Settled Their Differences

RKKayRKKay Posts: 3,017 ✭✭✭
For those who are curious, our dispute has been resolved. Bob has agreed to take the coin back, and I have agreed to pay a buyback fee. For the record, as I have stated before, this coin is not a dog, but rather not to my expectations. I have learned from my many mistakes in dealing with this issue and will be better for it. I'm sorry to have troubled you all with the Thread of Death.

Rkkay, Thats great news, i don't claim to have e.s.p. but if you read my responce to the "thread of death" my suggestion appears to be what ultimatley happened. I said in that thread that 2 possible solutions would be for either Mr. Green to take back the coin in the interest of good customer relations or as a compromise solution take the coin back with a buy back fee, not that you guys did this because of my suggestion but i found it interesting that i guessed right. There is one other thing i braught up in my responce to that post i'd like yours and others comments on, and that is that when a buyer and a seller are going to do a 'done deal" site unseen on a coin worth 4 figures or more it should be put in writing that it's a "done deal" with a buyers returned signature stating clearly what has been agreed to before the seller sends the coin to the buyer [it's as easy as a fax machine]
The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.

I think your idea is obviously a good one. I will certainly ensure that in the future, my expectations are clear, as well as the other party's. I plan to put as much in writing in the future. Thanks for your ideas. I wish I had had them first.

Rick: Sorry to hear about the "penalty" you had to pay - but, since you "paid your dues", you're now "in" the club. How does it feel to be a "full fledged coin dealer"? image Wondercoin

As I said, I am learning daily from my mistakes. This one was costly both financially ($1000) and to my reputation, but those who have dealt with me know I deal with integrity and, sometimes, a bit of naiveté. Nevertheless, we can all move forward now. As for being a full-fledged coin dealer, I still have some learning to do, obviously.
  • I cannot wait to see the dog--I mean, coin. Do you think there will be a premium to pay for it as a result of The Thread of Death???

Instead of calling them 'dues', I like to call those costs 'tuition'.
