Heisman Trophy Winners Registry?

I have recently started to add Heisman Trophy winners to my collections and am thinking about trying to get a Registry for this going...
First off, besides myself, does anyone think that this is an interesting collection to pursue???
and second, what sort of suggestions can you offer to making it work??? Would it be better to go after only the rookie card or any card of that player...and also there are some Heisman Trophy winners who don't even have a card...
any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated...
thanks
Andrew

I submitted a Super Bowl MVP Registry set today along with the complete RC list (weighted of course). Interestingly enough Dexter Jackson, the latest MVP, has NO card. Yet he was a rookie in 1999. I guess 2003 will be his RC. LOL
Anything football is a good thing..

according to my values and my needs. Nothing holds dominion over me, I stand alone as the ruler of my life.
if we go with only the rookie card of the Heisman, for the players like Ron Dayne that have 100 rookies cards, would it be set up that any of the 100 would count with a weighing of 1, or would 1 of the 100 be selected ahead of time, and that is the one everyone needs to get?
well for the Bo Jackson and Vic Janowicz, they both have football and baseball cards...would we want to pursue a card in both sports???
There are six Heisman winners with no regular issued cards: Larry Kelly, Clint Frank, Pete Dawkins, Joe Bellino, Terry Baker and Gary Beban...and then of course there is the Charlie Ward issue...
for those interested or those who have some experience in how to handle these issues, I appreciate any insight that you may be able to provide...
thanks, Andrew
In any event, Ron Dayne would, most likely be a 1 where a Johnny Lujack may be an 8 ....
I would contact MikeSchmidt aka Marc - he is the Man when it comes to these things.
Send me an email in regards to the 86 Rose PSA 9 - NKane9@aol.com
Good Luck in any event
For Jackson, Janowicz, and Ward, my opinion is that their football RCs should be used since the Heisman is a football award and these guys all have legitimate football RCs.

Joe,
If I understand your statement correctly, I think you are mistaken. Check out the Baseball HOF set. You can enter any card of any player listed.
JEB.
That's because that's an unweighted set where any card of the player is eligible. If the Heisman set is going to be weighted and RC-only, they'll have to specify a card in their database. It all depends on how it ends up being set up I guess.

so the question is, how do we want to go about picking what, Ricky Williams or Eddie George for example, rookie card to choose??? Do we want to try and be consistent and pick something like Topps Chrome for all the newer cards, or pick the most desireable standard issue(non insert) card for each player???
Do we use USFL rookies or Topps for Walker, Rozier and Flutie???
I am asking because I want to get a consensus before I get this put together...

We've had a very similar discussion for the HOF RC set. The consensus is basically the highest valued RC in PSA 8 should be the one in the set. So for Ricky Williams it would be SPx ( I think, I didn't check them all), and for the USFL guys it would be their USFL RCs.
