I was pulled over for speeding....and....

the officer hassled me for not having a working speedometer...... I don't see what the big deal was...

He saw a issue of coinworld in my car and said he collects...guess what, Franklins......

    That is my 67 vw Bug Weekend Warrior, can has run a best time of 13.20 @ 103 mph at 5000ft..... Its a little quick, and a little loud....

    Did you tell him the RPM gauge tells you what speed you were going because you have the gear/RPM charts memorized?

    I got pulled over for speeding once when my speedometer was not working - but they could not tell because when they looked it said 0.

    My 11 second turbo can hit 8grand, but I have a rev limiter set for that and shift at 7500 rpm.....

    Thats my youngest Kiddy-o, Rockin' Ed, he used to do a bi-weekly Doo Wop show that was very popular called 'After School Rock', this Kiddy-o knows more about 1950s Vocal Group Harmony then most adults.....Hmmmm... I wonder why he came out like that?

    And my pride and joy is my 56 BelAir that is a two tone blue color, original color from 56. This baby is in the body shop right now, she just got done with her new powerplant, a 10k 525 dynoed hp 405 fuel injected small block. Her name is Lucille, and she screams Daddy-o!

    No ticket? Good for you! Here in Wisconsin the cops main job is to hand out tickets. They need the revenue here because being taxed as the number three state is simply not enough money. If they can't get revenue from their tasks they don't do the tasks.

    My precious little Peggy Sue, This little Turbo was re-chipped, uping the boost to 20lbs, a new Diverter valve was installed as well as a
    quick shift kit and a N75 Race valve which controlls the wastegate alowing me even more boost. This limited edition 2002 is also
    equiped with a six speed, I had her at 140mph in 6th gear at 6100 rpm. She is the perfect sleeper, she really screams! Notice the lowered
    front end for better aero dynamics and less wheel hop and torque over steer which is a problem on front wheel drive cars with
    horespower!

    Do I have to start talking about my 165 horsepower Yamaha R1? 10.07 at 148 mph 1/4 mile. Capable of doing 9.6 at 154 mph 1/4 miles. At 120 mph in fourth gear, standup, bounce front end and whack the throttle and up she comes into a wheelie!

    WOW! Dragon... My little Peggy sue burns 1 gallon of VP's motorsports 102 octane for every 2 gallons of super unleaded. And she loves it as much as I love Margaritas. When the car got re-chipped, the timing was also advanced and the fuel curves were changed. And also since more boost is now present creating more cyclinder head pressure, a fast combusting fuel is ideal. This mixture really helped top end power.

    This does just fine for me. Never been over 80. Arrive home safe and sound.

    I've always be nervous about nitrous, especially on a Turbo charged car. If for some reason I should ever lean out in the upper rpm ranges and I'm using nos, bye bye engine. There is a company that was developing a nos kit to spray the intercooler simply to cool it dow faster due to nos's cooling effects...I may have to look into this further...

    the sound of a VW redlining at 7000 is one thing. some guy from indy gave me a ride in his original '68 Charger RT. the only thing not original was the rims and tires (he left it outside one night), 473 gears, slapstick, and a huge chrome tach mounted to the hood - oh and a little nameplate on the glovebox that said "happiness is a low E.T." . a friend and i had to beg him to take us for a ride. he took us to the gas station for a little $5 per gallon turbo-blue. at 4.5 MPG we couldn't get far. it felt like we were riding in a big mechanical bull. it was definitely a violent ride. he took us to a back road to show us it's 1/4 mile.

    11.2 @ 118 mph @ 7,200 rpm. a 440 6-pack at 7,200 rpm sounds incredible.
