I was pulled over for speeding....and....

the officer hassled me for not having a working speedometer...... I don't see what the big deal was...

He saw a issue of coinworld in my car and said he collects...guess what, Franklins......

Why am I not surprised you were pulled over for speeding?

I got pulled over for speeding once when my speedometer was not working - but they could not tell because when they looked it said 0.
Here is my Turbo Charged 64, this one has a Speedo, but the Wheelie bars draw attention...

"Traffic Jam"
James Taylor
(Chorus)
Damn this traffic jam
How I hate to be late
It hurts my motor to go so slow (emphasis added by me)
Damn this traffic jam
Time I get home my supper'll be cold
Damn this traffic jam
Well I left my job about 5 o'clock
It took fifteen minutes go three blocks
Just in time to stand in line
With a freeway looking like a parking lot
- Chorus -
Now I almost had a heart attack
Looking in my rear view mirror
I saw myself the next car back
Looking in the rear view mirror
'Bout to have a heart attack
I said
- Chorus -
Now when I die I don't want no coffin
I thought about it all too often
Just strap me in behind the wheel
And bury me with my automobile
- Chorus -
Damn...
Now I used to think that I was cool
Running around on fossil fuel
Until I saw what I was doing
Was driving down the road to ruin
My 2001 Monte SS Pace Car named Jenny Lee..... Can anyone guess that I like Red?

My precious little Peggy Sue, This little Turbo was re-chipped, uping the boost to 20lbs, a new Diverter valve was installed as well as a
quick shift kit and a N75 Race valve which controlls the wastegate alowing me even more boost. This limited edition 2002 is also
equiped with a six speed, I had her at 140mph in 6th gear at 6100 rpm. She is the perfect sleeper, she really screams! Notice the lowered
front end for better aero dynamics and less wheel hop and torque over steer which is a problem on front wheel drive cars with
horespower!

Do I have to start talking about my 165 horsepower Yamaha R1? 10.07 at 148 mph 1/4 mile. Capable of doing 9.6 at 154 mph 1/4 miles. At 120 mph in fourth gear, standup, bounce front end and whack the throttle and up she comes into a wheelie!
beat that!
(btw I had a $20 Saint in my pocket while doing the 10.07, no lie)

I don't know why you got a ticket. I just saw a brake pedal and clutch in that picture of the interior.
Hmm...classic cars...bee-bop...Franklins...you ever get the impression you were born later than you shoulda been?

have you given any thought to a will?
This does just fine for me. Never been over 80. Arrive home safe and sound.

I've always be nervous about nitrous, especially on a Turbo charged car. If for some reason I should ever lean out in the upper rpm ranges and I'm using nos, bye bye engine. There is a company that was developing a nos kit to spray the intercooler simply to cool it dow faster due to nos's cooling effects...I may have to look into this further...
<< <i>have you given any thought to a will? >>
No. I'm not that smart.

actually, I was referring to JBS's story about popping 140 mph wheelies.
but now that you brought it up, I'll draft up a will for you.
To speed things up, I'll send you the signiture page now. Just sign it, have it notorized and send it back to me, I'll add in the detail.
11.2 @ 118 mph @ 7,200 rpm. a 440 6-pack at 7,200 rpm sounds incredible.
